APRÓ recently participated in an exciting pilot with AWS where we tested how AWS Outpost performs when undersea cables are disrupted.
A Successful Test
We set up the test by connecting AWS Outpost to our network in the usual way, along with a satellite connection installed on our roof. Then we cut the network connection to simulate what would happen if undersea cables stopped working. The equipment continued running through satellite connectivity alone, and everything kept working without interruption.
